A native of Detroit, MI, Mytecia Myles is a creative, bold, and authentic leader, serving business executives, thought leaders, and gifted artists for over 30 years. Mytecia is an alumna of S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, Syracuse University, Wayne State University, Michigan Institute of Natural Health, Michigan College of Beauty, and Michigan Paralegal Institute. She has studied Radio, Television & Film at WSU, Detroit Filmmakers Coalition, and Broadcast Journalism at Central State University. As the Founder and Chief Storyteller of Mytecia Renae Media, she oversees operations, innovation, and acquisitions. She is a sought after public speaker and mentor. Her focus involves a collaborative approach to legacy preservation, building capacity for creative capital, and authentic storytelling.
As a certified Authenticity Coach, Myles has had the pleasure of consulting thought leaders, corporate executives, professional coaches, public speakers, published and aspiring authors, ministry leaders, beauty, spa & wellness professionals, students, celebrities, creative teams, and decision makers in various industries.
Myles is a publishing consultant, leader of author development, and associate literary agent for Embolden Media Group. She has served as a workshop facilitator, subject matter expert, and small business mentor for SBA’s SCORE, Nashville Chapter, Marketing and Communications committee for the International Women’s Writing Guild, Nashville Filmmakers Guild, Board Member of Fella Vision Foundation, and former Communications Chair for the American Association for University Women (AAUW), Rutherford Chapter. Myles has been a judge for the Athena International Women’s Awards, and various Christian Publishers Awards.
Myles has provided media management for local, regional, and international organizations. She has been named as an “Executive to Watch'' by the National Association of Black Female Executives in Music and Entertainment (NABFEME). She has consulted entertainment brands on television, multimedia, and film projects. She is a brainchild of the Nashville Freedom of Voice, Youth Writer’s Workshop 2019 Literary Project which was in collaboration with Leaders Are Readers Program (LARP), the Porch Nashville, Nashville Public Library, Metro Nashville Arts Commission, Education Equal Opportunity Group (EEOG), Nashville Museum of African American Music, and Ingram Content Group. As a co-creator, editor, and workshop presenter, Myles has had the honor of working with a diverse group of young aspiring writers and helped them in becoming published authors. She is the creator of He Who Has An Ear, Writer’s Workshop where she helps aspiring authors map and birth their stories into print or other multimedia content.
With a pulse on industry trends and insights, Myles is on a mission to influence legacies through creative writing, education, building authentic writing communities, and elevating the visibility and narratives of women of color. Providing platforms for writers to connect, create, and cultivate their craft, she has developed and facilitated literary programs. Myles is a faculty at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU), Scott Borchetta College of Media and Entertainment, School of Journalism and Strategic Media, where she teaches future media professionals.
Myles is the author of Success Shifts: Navigating Your Divine Calling by Faith. She is a lover of Jesus Christ, family, wellness, traveling, plants, and the arts. She is an associate minister at First Baptist Church Murfreesboro, TN. Myles has two brilliant adult daughters, a brilliant granddaughter and is supported by a loving family. Her personal journey of faith, healing, transformation, and entrepreneurship is inspiring to others.
